Airsoft Sniper Tips
An airsoft sniper must possess a level of patience, skill, and stealth that few other airsoft players need during competition, among them:
- Scout the area where the competition will take place, if possible, and note those areas most suitable for observation, for sniper positions, advancement and retreat, if necessary. This way, when the competition starts, you’re ready to move.
- Snipers move quickly, and stealthily. You need to get to your position as quickly as possible at the start of a meet, preferably without being seen by the opposition.
- When choosing your concealed position, choose a place where it will be difficult for the enemy to discover you, or a place where they wouldn’t normally expect a sniper to hide.
- The enemy may be very close to your position, don’t shy away or allow your opponents to intimidate you with their presence. The closer that you are to them, the less they will expect you to be there.
- If you know the enemy’s position, you can take him out, so be watchful and listen carefully. The crunch of leaves, the sound of guns, or stealthy footsteps can alert you to his presence.
- Once you eliminate an enemy, move to another position if possible, as your position may have been compromised.
